Tokufumi Inagaki “The Paris Eugène Atget Saw”
Fujifilm Square
This event has ended.
Eugène Atget photographed early-20th century Paris. Referred to as the father of modern photography, Atget capured places such as the Saint-Michel district surrounding the Notre Dame Cathedral and Montmartre Hill as they existed 100 years ago. Captivated by these outstanding pictures, Tokufumi Inagaki visited the places featured in Atget’s photography, shooting them with a high-performance X-Pro1 digital camera using the same positions and lens angles as Atget. Through these works, viewers can vicariously experience a modern version of the Paris Atget witnessed.
