This event has ended.

The land which emerged from the once all engulfing sea is again eroded by wind and rain until hollows are formed in its surface. Earth is removed, carried off and brought to form new layers elsewhere. This is the reality of our landscapes an endless repetition of fracture, carriage and shifting, always caught in a process of change. Known for his drawing and installation work Kojiro Kobayashi places his hand upon this ever changing, fluid state and brings it to a shape of solidity, guiding it towards another vector. Landscapes frozen in a single moment in a tension which will unravel with time slowly moving towards its next state. In this exhibition Kobayashi presents a collection of new sculptural work which points to the instability of a particular place and visualizes its inner condition through the interplay of foreground, mid-ground and background.
