Asia Anarchy Alliance, Asia’s strongest anarchy organization, is assembling in Tokyo. Last year saw a blurring of borders amid increased globalization and the rise of new liberal ideologies and information networks. Meanwhile, as Western concepts from the previous century became more widespread, the voices of Asian nations were drowned out. The contemporary art world also focuses mainly on Western Art, and the age of Asia being relegated to imitator or secondary status continues. Asia Anarchy Alliance strives to disrupt this paradigm, coming together to confront head-on the various issues facing Asia by placing and expressing them within the context of art. This exhibition will also be held at Tokyo Wonder Site, Hongo.
