Pencil Nishioka
The original prints of Pencil Nishioka, which won acclaim at their February debut in Paris, are presented in his first solo show in Japan. Inspired by Edo kimono patterns, Nishioka’s designs are featured on fabrics, papers, and other items. Some 30 works from a series of contemporary designs are on display and for sale, along with panel works by the Kyoto washi cosmetics studio kamisoe, hand-died wrapping cloths by okaju, and original kimonos, handkerchiefs and notebooks by the kimono brand Elly & Oby.
