“101 Years of Shoji Ueda”
Atsukobarouh Arts Drinks Talk
This event has ended.
In 1983, with the death of his dear wife and his loss of passion for photography, Shoji Ueda attempted to regain the playfulness of photography through the release of Kido Kaiki, a photo album of works produced with Polaroid 35mm film, coming to discover a new direction in his practice leading to a distillation of his inner landscape. This exhibition marks 101 years since the birth of Ueda with works from this series including depictions of the writer/illustrator Souji Yamakawa.
