Kengo Nakamura
After graduating from the Nihonga course of Tama Art University in 1993, Kengo Nakamura went on to study his masters at the same institution. Since then he has come to develop unique paintings drawing on motifs such as facial expressions used in email, the architectural plans of a one room apartment, the speech and silhouettes of manga characters, all reflecting the contemporary world. In 2005 he presented his solo exhibition at the Maruki Gallery for the Hiroshima Panels, and published “Late 20th Century Japanese Art”. Here he will unveil a new installation based on his text expression series, along with work yet unexhibited in Tokyo.
