This event has ended.
Leaving Japan to settle in France, Leonard Foujita (1886 – 1968, born Tsuguharu Fujita) became a beloved child of the Paris art world over a period that included both World Wars, being known for his unique style of paintings with “milk white” backgrounds. His works in this exhibition are selected with the intention of revealing a new aspect of Foujita and his art by examining the human environment in which he lived through the “models” appearing in his paintings and the artistic issues he addressed through the subject of portraits and the human figure.
