Lumix Meets Beyond 2020 by Japanese Photographers #3
This event has ended.
Exhibiting works taken with the Lumix DMC-GX8 camera by three photographers. Kazuto Ishikawa flattens out the multi-layered aspects of photographs, Chihiro Ichinose creates lyrical works about memory, and Satoshi Fujiwara is redefining the modern snapshot. The show also brings together works from Emi Nakata’s “Yokazu,” a series in which the photographer dresses herself in her late mother’s clothing, Shinpei Yamashita’s “Spectrum,” which evokes the life forces of single tree branches, and Yoshitsugu Nagano’s lightless photographs from “Retina Noise,” selected in the IMA Media project portfolio review “Step Out!” There will be talks by experts on the current state of the global photograph market and Japanese photographers working overseas.
