Heart-Moving Realist Paintings – Living Artists in Japan

Hoki Museum
Finished
A single realist painting can take two to three months to complete. What does the viewer feel upon encountering these finished products, the culmination of the artist’s long creative process and period of contemplation? Take in 70 works by 27 realist painters in their thirties through eighties currently practicing in Japan. A museum survey will ask visitors about the works that speak to them the most.
