Koya Nakamura
Presenting the works of Koya Nakamura (1922–2002), a textile artist who depicted the Yokosuka Bay with the technique of Yuzen dyeing in impressively elegant and bold designs featuring unique senses of color. Eighty works including Yuzen portraits of Yokosuka and Miura, folding screens, panels, and more from multiple museum collections showcase Nakamura’s timeless modernism.
