Art Factory Jonanjima is home to three permanent exhibitions:
“Kimiyo Mishima Installation Work 1984-2014”
Focusing on Mishima’s installations from the 1980s, this display features 13 works in an expansive 960 sq. meter space. These works of silkscreened newspapers, magazines, and cardboard integrating ceramic materials are achieved on a gigantic scale. Be amazed by Mishima’s work, which continues to evolve even after some 50 years of artistic practice.

“Toyoko Inn Motoazabu Gallery Collection”
The catwalk accessible via the spiral staircase exhibits the photography series “Duirness” created in a collaboration between Pablo Picasso, the photographer André Villers, and the poet Jacques Prévert.

“Japanese Paper ‘Edo’ Installation”
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s Spaulding Collection, one of the world’s finest Ukiyo-e collections, boasts some of the most beautiful and vivid Ukiyo-e prints. This installation based on Ukiyo-e prints from the collection kept from public display for more than 90 years uses high-definition data imaging to recreate an immersive visual experience of Japan during the Edo period (1603–1868).
