Super Open Studio in the areas of Sagamihara, Machida, and Hachioji is a three-week event featuring work by students and graduates of local art colleges, including Joshibi University of Art and Design, J.F. Oberlin University, Tama Art University, and Tokyo Zokei University. Many graduates have remained in these areas, turning old warehouses and factories into their studios. This year more than 100 artists will be showing off their works at over 20 studios. Art Laboratory Hashimoto in Sagamihara will also lead bus tours and talks and offer workshops.
