This event has ended.

The Itabashi Art Museum is specialized in the collection of artwork by Japanese Avant-Garde painters and has organized important exhibitions on this period. Masa’aki Terada, Chōzaburō Inoue and other painters, who resided in Ikebukuro Montparnasse, moved to the city of Itabashi after the Second World War. These artists continued painting with the Avant-Garde spirit of the early Showa era well after the war. In this exhibition, works by Toshiyuki Hasekawa, Hideo Noda and Saburō Asō, acquired by the museum in 2017, will be shown. In addition, newly donated works will also be exhibited for the first time.
