Artists

Vasilis Avramidis
Avramidis was born in Kilkis, Greece. He is based in London and holds exhibitions mainly in Europe and the US. Figures, nature, and architecture are painted in almost all of his works: There are architectural ruins, human beings transformed into ruins themselves, and nature that flourishes as if a long time has passed after the extinction of humanity. These subjects are complicatedly intertwined and depicted with a technique associated with Greek tradition. The exhibition title “Host” refers to the motifs being presented as “receptacles” onto which Avramidis depicts his imagined stories.
