Mitsunori Kurashige, Junji Amano
Mitsunori Kurashige (b. 1946) is a performance artist, photographer, and video artist active since the 1960s. His works using artificial light from florescent and neon tubes have mesmerizing effects. This exhibition presents 10 works including his light installations, outdoor displays, and new videos. Junji Amano (b. 1949) is a painter known for his “Field of Water” series that features layers of acrylics and mineral pigments. Thirty of his works including important lead pieces from the late-1990s, drawings, and new works are on display. Discover these two Kanagawa artists’ approaches to minimalism through their new and recent works.
