Miyamoto Saburo: Process and Practices

Miyamoto Saburo Memorial Museum
Finished

Artists

Saburo Miyamoto
*Miyamoto Saburo Memorial Museum is temporarily closed as a preventive measure against the further spreading of the COVID-19 coronavirus until June 1 2020. The museum will be open from June 2.

Saburo Miyamoto’s process consistently involved making series of careful drawings. In oil painting he repeatedly experimented with themes he had set for himself, such as painting the same subject multiple times and changing the model’s pose and composition. This exhibition focuses on these aspects of Miyamoto’s process.
