This event has ended.
Presenting the works of Akiko Yamazaki, an artist who works primarily in pencil and oil-paint drawings. “Memory,” “space,” and “time” are all important elements in Yamazaki’s works, which consider the past, present, and future and relationships among people. This exhibition features a series created last June in Finland. Yamazaki portrays ideas of Japan and what lies outside of it, the scenes that unfold outside of us, the scenes connected to the memories inside of us, and the memories, times, presences, and absences that fill the “in between” spaces of everyday life.
