Forms for Fragrance –Treasures from the Takasago Collection
Panasonic Shiodome Museum of Art
Ends in 13 days
This exhibition will offer a comprehensive look at the world of aromas: from ancient vases used for storing aromatic oils, to the European aristocracy’s ceramic and glass perfume bottles fabricated by Meissen, René Lalique, and other workshops, to sets of classic Japanese incense tools. Almost 240 items from the Takasago Collection will be on display, along with thematically relevant portraits of women and stylish art deco furnishings on special loan from museums across the country. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the history and culture of aromas and fragrances.
