*Toguri Museum of Art will be open from June 5. (By appointment only)
Imari ware, Japan’s first domestically made porcelain, enriched the lives of people during the Edo period. Nabeshima ware was made exclusively as gifts of tribute to the shogun. These two splendid types of Japanese porcelain form the core of the collection of the Toguri Museum of Art. This exhibition presents the very best of its collection while sharing with visitors the basics of ceramics appreciation.
