With the support of his patron Kishichiro Okura, the pioneering Nihonga artist Taikan Yokoyama held an exhibition of Japanese art in Rome in 1930 that featured works by some 80 Japanese artists. For the 90th anniversary of this exhibition, the Okura Shukokan Museum of Fine Arts presents works by Yokoyama, Shunso Hishida, and other leading artists of modern Nihonga.
