In August 2020, it has been 75 years since the surrender of Japan.

The photo exhibition “Reimagining War” presents the works recording the stories still tied directly to the war instead of the “battle in the past.” It shows how each photographer finds the connection between the past and the present. Indonesia, the Netherlands, North Korea and Tokyo: each photo project captures the various people and landscapes in various lands with Asia-Pacific War as an origination. Each of these projects presents a consequence of war as it traces the passage of time of 75 years. These are the stories of the war captured by the photographers who do not know of the war directly. We sincerely wish that these stories will remain in us and trigger us to think of war once again.
