Chihiro Art Museum Tokyo
Finished

Artists

Chihiro Iwasaki
*In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to temporarily close the museum from Saturday, January 2, 2021.
We will announce the reopening of the museum and the schedule of future exhibitions on the museum’s official website and SNS.

Despite the worldwide prevalence of the internet and AI technologies in people’s lives and the touting of technological progress and material wealth, a day doesn’t go by in Japan without report of a children facing dire circumstances, suffering from poverty or abuse. The children depicted in Chihiro Iwasaki’s illustrations are a reminder of the hearts of children, which endure over time, as well as the true meaning of the richness of life. This exhibition focuses on children’s happiness and the peace that Chihiro wished for throughout her life, showcasing such works as picture book originals from Yuki no Hi no Tanjobi (Snowy Birthday).
