Ends in 50 days

On New Year’s day 1952, cosmetics brand Isehan ran the first full-page color advertisement in a newspaper. However, full-page color ads would not become mainstream until the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and the spread of color television. This exhibition showcases this important event in advertising in general and the cosmetics industry specifically.
