Ends in 57 days

Photographer Ikko Narahara leaves behind a magnificent body of work. He documented subjects ranging from Gunkanjima Island to a Trappist monastary, a women’s prison, the streets of Europe, the culture of Japan, and the vast natural expanses of America. What did he see, and what was his aim? A donation of some 300 works from the Ikko Narahara archives to the gallery’s collection presents the opportunity for a comprehensive overview of his career spent pursuing themes of time, space, and nostalgia.
