Super Vision / Deportare
This event has ended.
The eighth exhibition at Decameron is co-curated with White House, an art space in Hyakunincho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, and will be produced and exhibited at five locations: White House, Seibu Shinjuku Ekimae Dori, Decameron, Kabukicho Park, and Shinjuku Chuo Park.
Yuta Akiyama’s expressive activities are based on the viewpoint that “today’s cities would not exist without the work risks faced by construction and civil engineering workers,” a viewpoint supported by his own actual experience as an architectural interior decorator for more than 20 years.
At Decameron, Akiyama added the word “deportare,” which is the origin of the word “sports,” to the name of his exhibition, and titled it “Super Vision / Deportare,” in which he invited the artist Takuya Watanabe and juxtaposed his works, attempting to expand the world from the perspective of a certain worker.
