Tokyo Photographic Art Museum
[Image: Yoshikazu Shirakawa "The Wave, America" Artist's collection]
Starts tomorrow
This exhibition features two major compilations of the work of Shirakawa Yoshikazu in two series, each exhibited over an approximately month-long period. The first part, Eternal Japan, Series 11, introduces the sublimely beautiful natural world of Japan. The second part, The Earth, Series 12, is Shirakawa’s latest work. In it, he presents selections that suit his image of our earthly universe from a body of work that he has been photographing for over fifty years, since he published Alps. Using the latest digital technology, he recreates them with a sense of scale not possible in the past.
