Since its establishment in 1976, the foundation has been promoting the culture of horses. This year a special exhibition, ‘Samurai Armor,’ is being held in collaboration with the Japan Armor and Headpiece Research and Preservation Society, which has been engaged in research and preservation activities related to armor and armor in general since its establishment in 1961.

Japanese armor is the culmination of traditional Japanese techniques such as metalwork, lacquer work, metal engraving, leather processing, and dyeing and weaving, and can be regarded as arts and crafts produced with the highest level of technology of each era.
