*Hachioji Yume Art Museum will reopen from June 1 (Tue.).

Exhibited works by Hokusai include landscapes such as “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa” from “Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji,” as well as his “Hokusai Manga” series, early actor prints, Western-style works, and hand-painted works. The French painter Henri Rivière (1864–1951), who was heavily influenced by Hokusai and produced homages to him such as “Thirty-six Views of the Eiffel Tower,” is also introduced.
