Musashino Art University Museum & Library

poster for Art-Book: Pictoriality in Print Rare Books of MAU M&L × Lubok

Ends in 25 days

Throughout the long history of books, prints have been the dominant means of visual representation in them. This exhibition presents our rare book collection in a systematic approach while also introducing the works of Lubok Verlag, a publishing company in Leipzig that extends the potential of contemporary print styles. Through them, it explores the nature of books’ pictorial characteristics in terms of the technical and expressive aspects of the print medium.
