This event has ended.

Hwajin Lee has been creating works through video and photography that focus on phenomena that occur in the relationship between people and time.”Saudade Project” (2019–) is a series of works in which she travels in search of the places where her family photographs were taken. “Saudade” means “nostalgia” in Portuguese, but it can also mean “longing for the future. It is said to be difficult to translate into other languages. Her latest work, “Saudade Izu 2002/2020-2021,” was created by revisiting Izu, a place she visited every summer as a child on family trips.
