*Yokosuka Museum of Art is temporarily closed from August 23 (Mon) until further notice.

From the first issue of Shukan Shincho in 1956 until his death in 1981, Rokuro Taniuchi drew a total of 1,335 cover paintings. The museum introduces the world of Taniuchi’s cover art by changing the exhibition four times a year, each time with a different theme. This second exhibition in 2021 is titled ‘Landscapes with Birds’ and features works depicting birds.
