This event has ended.

This exhibition is dedicated to the 6 months of peaceful protests in Belarus. Since the presidential elections in August 2020, numerous unprecedented events took place in Belarus, drawing the whole world’s eyes to Belarus and inspiring many Belarusian artists to create their art.

This exhibition tells a story of those events through art, reflecting the peaceful nature of Belarusian resistance. It explores how local initiatives, citizen’s self-organization, women’s movement, and art have become the driving force against violence and police brutality in the battle to end “the last dictatorship of Europe”.

You will see a selection of posters by more than 40 artists. The special feature of this exhibition are the works of Iłla Jeraševič, a Belarusian artist living and working in Tokyo. He will present the works that were inspired by the revolution and became the main symbols of art resistance, as well as works that influenced the shape of his protest art.
