Martha Tuttle
Martha Tuttle’s textile-based paintings examine the existence, relationship, and materiality of the organic mediums used, deepening the understanding of people’s connection to the physical, non-human world. The wool, silk, linen, pigments, visible wooden support, the subtle colors, and the sense of space all intricately interact within the abstract picture plane, creating a dialogue of light, force, and balance.
