This event has ended.

Since the Edo period, Tokyo’s landscape has been altered by fires, earthquakes, and wars. The Olympic Games are no exception to this. The “Ripples of Water 95” exhibition held in 1995 was curated with the intention of having artworks scattered throughout the streets of Aoyama to show the appeal of the other side of the city, where people do not usually walk.

This year the exhibition will be held until September 5 together with “Pavilion Tokyo 2021,” so visitors can see the two city projects together. While “Pavilion Tokyo 2021” is architectural and focuses on Aoyama-dori, “Ripples of Water 2021” takes visitors further into the streets and invites them to visit the artworks one by one.
