Artists

Natsuki Oshiro
Natsuki Oshiro, a 2012 graduate of Tokyo Zokei University Graduate School, creates paintings that abstract the underlying rules, systems, and structures of everyday life, pointing out the gaps between the original meanings of things and the ways in which they are worded and colored. She is a 2018 Shell Art Award Residency Program Prize, for which she stayed at the Cite international des arts in Paris. This exhibition includes paintings referencing the Manyoshu book of classical poetry and the works of the contemporary poet and philosopher Kazeto Shimonishi.
