This event has ended.

Takehisa Yumeji (1884-1934) was an artist from Okayama who entered into the limelight with richly emotional pictures of beauties and was also active in the field of commercial design. He had close ties with Gunma, too, having, for example, visited Ikaho several times. Through a wide range of works including Japanese-style paintings, book and magazine designs, everyday utensil designs, pictures for the covers of musical scores, and documents such as letters, this exhibition introduces the charm of Yumeji’s works, which are captivating even today.
