This event has ended.

Hi-Visions is a painter collective consisting of Satoshi Okano, Tai Ogawa, and Toshiyuki Kimura assembled through the exhibition, “A Space Odyssey” at Clear Gallery Tokyo.

While many painters have explored the expression of light and shadow, Satoshi Okano aims to create “luminous paintings” and depicts an unstable and nostalgic world like in the CRT television. The monitor screen reflects the world of the Internet, which also seems like an outer space where a vast amount of information floats. Tai Ogawa attempts to reproduce the 3D world on the internet to 2D on paper. The storyteller Toshiyuki Kimura, who himself is involved in film art, tells serious, strange, and ephemeral stories about human beings and their surroundings on canvas. Hi-Visions creates a world that visualizes the uncertain idols that come and go between reality and memory.
