Fusion - Hidenori Majima Kinesis
Ends in 16 days
The exhibition will feature recent works by Hidenori Majima, including a series of paintings on the theme of water metamorphosis (Kinesis), and paintings and artifacts reminiscent of nature carefully selected by the artist from the Okura Collection.
Painting landscapes and other natural scenes have been one of the most popular subjects in Japan since ancient times. Majima has been one of the leading painters of our time, challenging himself to create works with innovative techniques based on the tradition of Japanese painting without being bound by its framework. The concept of this exhibition is to create a free and diverse perspective in art appreciation by combining the classical art from the Okura Collection from the Middle Ages to the modern era and Majima’s works in the same space.
