Meguro Museum of Art
Museum in The Ebisu, Daikanyama area
The Museum opened in a corner of Meguro Citizens Center which is located in verdurous part of Tokyo in November, 1987. The Meguro Museum of Art, aims to become an integral part of the community to provide people with a space where they can enjoy works of arts. Tokyo boasts of having many museums, great and small. We may be a small one in size but we certainly are "a window" open to the limitless universe of imagination and sensibility.
We exhibit the works of Japanese modern and contemporary artists as well as the works of artists of other countries, which will show us a variety of artistic expressions on an international scale. We are proud of introducing our workshop activities which are intended to unite exhibitions and communications by paying attention to "beauty" in our life and to materials and techniques of works of art. We also take pride in having the Citizen's Gallery which may be rented by the citizens.
