The human body remained a rich but formidable theme for artists during the 20th century. This special exhibition will feature diverse expressions of the human body, from works by Pascin and Foujita, to pre-war Japanese portraits by Ichiro Yuasa and Soutaro Yasui. Contemporary works by Kaoru Yamaguchi and Masao Tsuruoka, projecting the author’s psyche upon form and matiere, will also be on display.
