Located near the centre of Honshu, Gifu Prefecture has given birth to a culture influenced by both eastern and western Japan. It was within this cultural climate and history that the Museum of Fine Arts Gifu was inaugurated in November 1982.
100 masterpieces from the museum's collection will be presented at this exhibition.
