At Gallery Ma
Media: Architecture
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Gallery Ma is holding an exhibition and lecture presentation themed "Housing". In addition, an anniversary publication is also coming out.
Since ancient times, housing has always been considered to be the fundamental starting point of architecture. As the eras passed, it became more and more obvious that a house was more than just a place to live in. Housing became the nexus where an architect's principles, thoughts and imagination all align. With this knowledge in mind, Gallery Ma looks back upon the last 20 years in search of parallels between evolution in daily life on the one hand and our housing on the other. By letting the grand maestros of modern architecture pass the revue, this exhibition attempts to shed new light at what kind of message contemporary architects are sending out through present-day housing.
The whole exhibition room is filled with 123 sectional models, maquettes, and lot models of several scales and sizes - a dialogue on a new architecture about to be born.
