This is a retrospective exhibition featuring the art, design, critic, and educational activities of Katsuhiro YamaguchiFrom 'Jikken Kobo' in the 50s to present day, Yamaguchi (1928-) has explored the possibilities of art through cutting-edge technology. Abstract paintings from his early years, group work done at Jikken Kobo, the famed 'Vitrine' series, and the newest 'Teatrine' series along with reference material will be displayed in seven sections.

展示は、氏の造形活動全体を回顧しています。1940年代後半の絵画作品から50年代のヴィットリーヌ(エンボスガラス板で覆った抽象絵画、オプアートともとれるし、インタラクティブアートの先駆けとも位置づけられる。)、金網やアクリル蛍光灯など素材応用の実験的シリーズ、60年代のハプニングから70 年万博をへてビデオアートへとつながります。
