At Polaris
Media: Installation, Art Party

This exhibition of installations, drawings and mixed media art will be held in two spaces within Polaris - a hall filled with light shining in from 3 directions, and a room with clay walls and a vaulted ceiling.
Rather than superficially mould the materials into paintings or sculptures, raw cotton and wood are displayed naturally in the room, so that the venue can also be appreciated simultaneously.
Through re-considering daily objects such as canvases, pebbles on the sidewalk, and so on, this exhibition suggests that we can look at the information, history and structure that defines our culture and visual presentation, from a new perspective. While concepts such as "globalism" and "postmodernism" are constantly being thrown about, this exhibition rethinks the notion of the "creative starting-point".
