Satoshi Uchiumi "Three Thousand Worlds"
This event has ended.
At Radi-um
Media: Painting, Art Party
Known for his 2D works featuring an amalgamation of tightly packed small circles, Satoshi Uchiumi is one of the up and coming artists to look out for. His work has been selectively shown at the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art in 2003, the MOT Annual exhibition in 2004, the Voca exhibition in 2005, and others.
This is his first private exhibition at Weissfeld since participating in a group exhibition last Autumn. While in past exhibitions Uchiumi has created site-specific works according to the scale of the gallery space, this time he has displayed 1000 tiny pieces (5x5cm) in order to portray the Buddhist notions (as seen in his title) of the ubiquitous world of colour.
Opening party on the first day of the exhibition from 19:00-
