This event has ended.
At Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
Media: Painting, Sculpture, Crafts
The collection of world-famous Japanese art collector Mary Griggs Burke, is now "back home." The selection spans 3000 years from the Jomon to the Edo Period and cover a range of media such as paintings, calligraphy, sculptures and others.
For example, a number of simple but elegant folding screens from the Momoyama Period will surely impress you. Paintings from the Edo Period will demonstrate just how mature Edo culture was.
This great collection amassed by a single American lady, Mrs. Burke, will once again introduce you to the rich and profuse Japanese culture.
