In the final half of the 19th Century, as Britain entered the industrial age, William Morris (1834-1896) made his mark on his fellow craftsmen of the time by writing a handbook on interior decoration from design to production. Using the motif of plants and nature as the basic starting point, he aimed to bring beauty to the whole of society. This exhibition of 87 works is an introduction to Morris' varied design, including stained glass, textiles and furniture.
This exhibition is being held at the same time as the Rossetti and Burne-Jones Exhibition.
