Two Swedish fashion brands have been invited to exhibit at the International Fashion Fair in Tokyo. This time the light comes from the southern part of Sweden and it's Les Couleurs Nationales and Robert & Blad, both based in Malmö. The fair takes place on January 18-20, 2006.
Les Couleurs Nationales promotes sparkling everyday glamour with a show titled "Brighten up your everyday routine and make a shift".
Robert & Blad pays homage to country icon Johnny Cash with a collection called "Cashing in / Selling out". A collaboration with artist Rikard Silwarn resulted in a collection of screenprints.
The Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo has seized the opportunity to invite the designers to do a more in depth exploration of the themes.
