"Être - The Face of Human Rights" Exhibition
This event has ended.
At UN Gallery
Media: Photography
This photography exhibition is sponsored by the Swiss Foreign Ministry who counts human rights as one of the main pillars of their foreign policies. The Ministry is undertaking an unusual endeavor to attempt to speak of its foreign policy through art. In addition to introducing human rights issues to the public, the exhibition's highlights are the curation by Laas Muller, the famous graphic designer, and the carefully selected photographs that were all provided by Magnum Photos in Paris.
39 photographs will cover 13 themes shedding light on human rights issues from the right to obtain food to the freedom of ideology and religion. Through displaying photographs full of dignity and peace in addition to those portraying the invasion of human rights, the exhibition asks us what it means to live.

Reviews
3枚の写真を一組にして、ひとつのテーマを考えさせる試みが面白い。小冊子がとてもきれいでいい。一国の外務省が写真展を作るなんて、おしゃれではないでしょうか・
