"LIFE--fluid, invisible, inaudible ..." is the fruit of a new collaboration by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shiro Takatani. This installation that ceaselessly fuses sound and image provides an unprecedented place where the "fluid, invisible, inaudible ..." become perceptible to the entire body.

上を眺めているだけで、時間は流れてしまう。
皆がしている鑑賞のスタイルが面白い。
A soothing audiovisual, random remix of "LIFE"
もちろん枕は持参で。
見てたら寝た。驚いた。
会場のはしっこに立ってみると
くらげか何か、生き物のようです。
テーマが社会的。
男っぽいけど表現が繊細で
クールだけど親和性があり
感銘を受けました。

For Sakamoto, it´s composing without sticking to traditional time signatures or a single genre in a composition. For Takatani, it is allowing a computer-controlled system to select clips from the diverse body of video he produced for this installation. For both, avoiding linear forms of their respective fields is what they had worked towards by looking to generative art as an escape.
映像作品自体はそこまでインパクトは無く、
むしろそれを見ている人たちが
全く無関係な人たちがあれだけ近い距離で
寝ころんでいることが面白いだけだった。

ネットなどで評判がよいので期待したが、
特に新しいものには思えず...。
「決まった鑑賞方法はないので自由に見てください」
と入口で言われたが、
ほとんどの人は水槽の下に頭がくるようにして横になって
数十分、もしかしたら数時間じっとしている。
自由といっても結局そうやって見るしかないような感じで、逆に堅苦しさを感じた。
